The tech world keeps changing every day. The same way software applications need regular updates, the skills are updated too. New versions of what you studied in last months are released every time.

When I am reading some trending articles, I do see people sharing top tech skills to learn, or asking what they can learn. I have made a selection for beginners who are ready to jump in.

  1. Python

Python is a programming language used for developing software applications, data analytics, and much more due to its simple integration with world-class libraries. (A library is collection of pre-compiled codes that a programmer can reuse in a program)

2. Website and Mobile app development

There is always a need for a website or just an app for new service. Among the best skills to learn in this section are React for Web, React Native for mobile apps, Django (This is a free open source python framework for the website development), and Angular for front end website development.

3. Machine Learning

Machine Learning is a subset of Artificial Intelligence that let a system to automatically learn and improve from provided data without being programmed.

For recent applications, many big tech companies and Artificial Intelligence startups are using Machine learning to try combating the COVID-19. It must be a cool skill!

4. Deep Learning

Deep Learning is a section of Machine Learning. It uses neural networks to learn from data. Like Machine Learning, Deep learning requires huge amount of data to give good working models ( A model is a mathematical representation of process). The most common tools for deep learning are Tensorflow by Google and Pytorch by Facebook AI Group.

5. UX Design

UX Design is an incredible skill if you thinking about things which are relevant to the users. It gives you the art of designing a service that will likely be valuable to users.

6. Cloud Computing

Almost anything you and I interact with on the internet is stored in the cloud. That makes it necessary to have people who are skilled in cloud services for working with a huge amount of data(Big data) stored in the cloud, as well as more services. Most popular Cloud services providers are Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud.

This was a review of the skills that some industries are looking for in 2020. However, there has never been one thing which is better than the rest completely. I mean there are so many relevant things to learn, and that’s why you may prefer your learning path. That’s completely okay.

Finally, if you feel that tech stuff are not in your favour, don’t worry. The future of technology is not complicating the life. If that so, take a look at the soft skills that can start learning as WEF report 2018 shows.

Thank you for reading. I am looking forward to sharing my learning insights in my next stories.
